^1:7 A todos los que estáis en Roma, amados de Dios, llamados santos: Gracia y paz tengáis de Dios nuestro Padre, y del Señor Jesucristo.

^1:8 Primeramente, doy gracias a mi Dios por Jesucristo acerca de todos vosotros, de que vuestra fe es predicada en todo el mundo.

^1:10 Rogando, si al fin algún tiempo haya de tener, por la voluntad de Dios, próspero viaje para ir a vosotros.

^1:11 Porque os deseo ver, para repartir con vosotros algún don espiritual, para confirmaros;

^1:12 Es a saber, para ser juntamente consolado con vosotros por la común fe vuestra y juntamente mía.

^1:13 Mas no quiero, hermanos, que ingnoréis que muchas veces me he propuesto ir a vosotros (empero hasta ahora he sido estorbado), para tener también entre vosotros algún fruto, como entre los demás Gentiles.
ENG. I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that I have often intended to come to you (but thus far have been prevented), in order that I may reap some harvest among you as I have among the rest of the Gentiles.

^1:14 A Griegos y a bárbaros, a sabios y a no sabios soy deudor.
ENG. I am a debtor both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish

^1:15 Así que, cuanto a mí, presto estoy a anunciar el evangelio también a vosotros que estáis en Roma.

^1:16 Porque no me avergüenzo del evangelio: porque es potencia de Dios para salud a todo aquel que cree; al Judío primeramente y también al Griego.
ENG. For I am not ashamed of the gospel; it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who has faith, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

^1:17 Porque en él la justicia de Dios se descubre de fe en fe; como está escrito: Mas el justo vivirá por la fe.
ENG. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed through faith for faith; as it is written, "The one who is righteous will live by faith."

^1:18 Porque manifiesta es la ira de Dios del cielo contra toda impiedad é injusticia de los hombres, que detienen la verdad con injusticia:
ENG. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and wickedness of those who by their wickedness suppress the truth.

^1:19 Porque lo que de Dios se conoce, a ellos es manifiesto; porque Dios se lo manifestó.
ENG. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them.

^1:20 Porque las cosas invisibles de él, su eterna potencia y divinidad, se echan de ver desde la creación del mundo, siendo entendidas por las cosas que son hechas; de modo que son inexcusables:
ENG. Ever since the creation of the world his eternal power and divine nature, invisible though they are, have been understood and seen through the things he has made. So they are without excuse;

^1:21 Porque habiendo conocido a Dios, no le glorificaron como a Dios, ni dieron gracias; antes se desvanecieron en sus discursos, y el necio corazón de ellos fué entenebrecido.
ENG. for though they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their senseless minds were darkened.

^1:22 Diciéndose ser sabios, se hicieron fatuos,
ENG. Claiming to be wise, they became fools;

^1:23 Y trocaron la gloria del Dios incorruptible en semejanza de imagen de hombre corruptible, y de aves, y de animales de cuatro pies, y de serpientes.
ENG. and they exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling a mortal human being or birds or four-footed animals or reptiles.

^1:24 Por lo cual también Dios los entregó a inmundicia, en las concupiscencias de sus corazones, de suerte que contaminaron sus cuerpos entre sí mismos:
ENG. Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the degrading of their bodies among themselves,

^1:25 Los cuales mudaron la verdad de Dios en mentira, honrando y sirviendo a las criaturas antes que al Criador, el cual es bendito por los siglos. Amén.
ENG. because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.

^1:26 Por esto Dios los entregó a afectos vergonzosos; pues aun sus mujeres mudaron el natural uso en el uso que es contra naturaleza:
ENG. For this reason God gave them up to degrading passions. Their women exchanged natural intercourse for unnatural,

^1:27 Y del mismo modo también los hombres, dejando el uso natural de las mujeres, se encendieron en sus concupiscencias los unos con los otros, cometiendo cosas nefandas hombres con hombres, y recibiendo en sí mismos la recompensa que convino a su extravío.
ENG. and in the same way also the men, giving up natural intercourse with women, were consumed with passion for one another. Men committed shameless acts with men and received in their own persons the due penalty for their error.

^1:28 Y como a ellos no les pareció tener a Dios en su noticia, Dios los entregó a una mente depravada, para hacer lo que no conviene,
ENG. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind and to things that should not be done.

^1:29 Estando atestados de toda iniquidad, de fornicación, de malicia, de avaricia, de maldad; llenos de envidia, de homicidios, de contiendas, de engaños, de malignidades;
ENG. They were filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, covetousness, malice. Full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, craftiness, they are gossips,

^1:30 Murmuradores, detractores, aborrecedores de Dios, injuriosos, soberbios, altivos, inventores de males, desobedientes a los padres,
ENG. slanderers, God-haters, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, rebellious toward parents,

^1:31 Necios, desleales, sin afecto natural, implacables, sin misericordia:
ENG. foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless.

^1:32 Que habiendo entendido el juicio de Dios que los que hacen tales cosas son dignos de muerte, no sólo las hacen, más aún consienten a los que las hacen.
ENG. They know God's decree, that those who practice such things deserve to die-- yet they not only do them but even applaud others who practice them.
